Placement within the Story The Kikuchi Clan, which stabilized government and contributed to rice farming in the area, established this as a point of international trade, with Takase on the right shore and Ikura on the left shore. In Ikura there is the 'Higo Shiikan Kakukou Tomb', which is a grave that clearly belongs to a Chinese person-- the oldest of its kind in Japan. There are also numerous other intact historical ruins of international character, including the 'Kirishitan Grave'
