Placement within the Story A storehouse of the Kumamoto Domain, rice from the Kikuchi River Basin region was gathered here and taken to Osaka Dojima. Over 200,000 bags were exported every year. The storehouse was destroyed in a fire during the Satsuma Rebellion, but remains such as the foundation stones have been left intact. There is a tea house adjoining the storehouse, showing that the Domain had clustered many important buildings here.
