Placement within the Story The port towns of Takase and Ohama are here; these towns flourished through the shipping of rice during the Edo period; even today, at Takase, Sarashi, and Sendagawara etc., ancient stonework structures are still intact, such as stonework slopes called 'tawara-goroshi', stone staircases, and stone walls.
